Gal Meets Glam Collection- May

For years, Gal Meets Glam has been one of my favorite blogs. I’ve followed Julia Engel from the very beginning and admired her classic sense of style. Her Instagram feed has always provided a means of escape for me as she’s usually dashing off across the globe to the most beautiful places.

Julia recently launched her very own clothing line made available exclusively through her website and Nordstrom. I’m super bias because I already love her (from afar, but I may pretend we’re friends IRL!), but somehow these dresses took my admiration up a notch.

The Gal Meets Glam Collection is unique, elegant, romantic and beautifully styled. To me, the dresses channel Grace Kelly in the movie “High Society” and in turn make me feel so good when I’m wearing them.

As a mom, I love the longer length of her collection because I can chase the kids without worrying what’s showing. They’re also comfortable so I literally feel like I can wear them anywhere. So if you want to turn it up a notch and feel more glamorous in the everyday moments then I’d highly suggest taking a second to look.

If you’ve missed the boat on these three, don’t worry, she releases new dresses each month. Tip: set an alert on your phone for the next release date/time because they sell out FAST!

The Claire

The most fabulous neckline paired with the best stripes. This has a wonderful lining and makes me feel so beautiful. I wore it to church on Sunday and received a compliment about 5 seconds after entering the building. Perfect for a daytime summer event or dressed up for a wedding.

The Judith

As soon as I saw this on her feed, I had to have it. I love the eyelet and ties on the sleeves. This one also has a fabulous interior lining to help keep you cool. I’d wear this to brunch, bridal/baby showers, church, or any occasion you just want to feel good. Tie a scarf in your hair, pop the top down on a convertible, a let your inner Grace Kelly out.

The Ardith

Oh my goodness is this baby versatile. I’ve already found 5 places to wear it and received compliments around every corner. See what I mean about this collection making you feel good?! I did size up to accommodate the defined waist. Backyard bbqs, brunch, coffee dates, casual dinners, running errands, or sightseeing are just a few of the places I’d wear it.

My wallet had to prioritize but I love these too: The Darla and The Vanessa. The Penelope is just SO stunning to me. Likely my favorite of any she’s released but I don’t have an occasion on the calendar to justify the purchase.

Julia, if I’m lucky enough to have you read this, thank you for working so hard to pursue your dreams. Your creativity and sense of style has brought back something from the past that I think is so beautiful. Our culture was lacking an appreciation for elegance and tradition. You’ve found a way to marry it with modern styles in a really unique way. Congratulations to you on your launch and best wishes to you in all your future endeavors. You’re truly such an inspiration!
